Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 21, 2026 · Azitechost

This Privacy Policy explains how Azitechost (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Universal TV Remote mobile application (“App”). By using the App, you agree to this Policy.

1. Who we are

Universal TV Remote is developed by Azitechost. For privacy questions, contact support@azitechost.com.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the App, we may process:

  • Device and app information — such as device model, OS version, app version, language, and diagnostics needed to run and improve the App
  • Usage and analytics — events about how you use features (for example discovery, pairing, or remote controls), collected via Firebase Analytics
  • Crash and performance data — stack traces and related diagnostics via Firebase Crashlytics to fix bugs and improve stability
  • Network and discovery data — local network discovery is used to find TVs on your Wi‑Fi; this traffic generally stays on your local network. The App may store the last connected TV and pairing credentials (such as tokens or certificates) on your device so it can reconnect
  • Advertising identifiers — when ads are shown, Google AdMob may use advertising identifiers and related signals subject to your device and Google account settings
  • Purchase or entitlement status — if Premium or paid features are offered, entitlement information from Google Play (we do not receive your full payment card details)
  • Communications — if you email support or send feedback, we receive the content you choose to send

3. Remote control, keyboard, and voice

Remote commands, on‑screen keyboard text, and (on Google / Android TV) voice search audio are sent to your TV over your local network so the App can control that device. We do not operate a cloud service that records your remote sessions, keyboard input, or voice commands for our own use.

Microphone access is requested only when you use voice features. Audio is used to deliver the command to the TV Assistant and is not stored by Azitechost as a voice archive.

4. Permissions

The App may request permissions required for its features, such as network access, local network / nearby Wi‑Fi discovery, location (on older Android versions, only to discover devices on your LAN—not to track you), and microphone access for Google TV voice. You can revoke permissions in system settings; some features may stop working without them.

5. How we use information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve TV discovery, pairing, and remote-control features
  • Diagnose crashes, measure performance, and understand feature usage
  • Show ads (when enabled) and, if applicable, process Premium purchases and restore entitlements
  • Apply Remote Config and force-update checks so the App stays compatible and secure
  • Respond to support requests and communicate about the App when needed
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms

6. Sharing and third parties

We share information with service providers that help us operate the App, including:

  • Google Firebase — analytics, crash reporting, Remote Config
  • Google AdMob — advertising (when ads are enabled in the App)
  • Google Play — distribution, updates, and in-app purchases when offered

These providers process data under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

7. Retention

We retain analytics and crash data for as long as needed for the purposes above, subject to the retention settings of our providers, or longer if required by law. On-device pairing data remains on your phone until you clear app data or uninstall. Support emails are retained as long as needed to resolve your request and for legitimate business records.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use the App on trusted networks when controlling your TV.

9. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

10. Your choices

  • Limit permissions in Android settings
  • Opt out of personalized ads or adjust Google account ad settings where applicable
  • Uninstall the App to stop further collection from that installation
  • Contact us to ask questions about your data

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact support@azitechost.com to exercise applicable rights.

11. International users

If you use the App from outside the country where our processors operate, your information may be processed in other countries that may have different data-protection laws. We rely on appropriate safeguards provided by our service providers where required.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes become effective means you accept the updated Policy.
